Cook County Afterschool Program

The afterschool program is a collaborative program of the Cook County YMCA and Community Education. We offer a safe and engaging out-of-school time program that complements the school day and creates an enriching environment that fosters positive youth development and academic success.

K.E.Y. Zone | Eagle’s Nest

Our Out-of-School Time programs provide safe, enriching care that helps kids learn, grow, and thrive beyond the classroom.

K.E.Y. Zone (Grades K–5)
Offered at Duluth Public Schools, this program includes school year, break day, and summer care. Activities focus on academic support, enrichment, and life skills, all in a fun, structured environment.
Eagle’s Nest (Grades K–6)
Located at North Star Academy, Eagle’s Nest provides school year and break day care with the same commitment to learning, life skills, and engaging experiences.

Both programs create opportunities for exploration, empowerment, and connection, ensuring every child feels supported and inspired.
